Subject-Wise Study Tips

Advanced Accounting:

  • Practice practical problems daily.

  • Don’t look at solutions unless stuck; think from the concept’s point of view.

  • Focus heavily on Accounting Standards using ICAI material.

Corporate & Other Laws:

  • Create mnemonics to remember sections.

  • Write answers using correct legal language.

  • Include case laws and use bullet points where applicable.

Taxation:

  • Study with ICAI modules and solve illustrations.

  • Summarize key provisions and maintain a list of tricky clauses.

  • Revise topics regularly to avoid forgetting tax sections.

Cost & Management Accounting:

  • Master formulas by understanding, not memorizing.

  • Start with theory before jumping into practicals.

  • Attempt problems in writing to build speed and accuracy.

Auditing & Ethics:

  • Start with Standards on Auditing (they’re scoring).

  • Focus on presentation: point-wise answers, underlining keywords.

  • Analyze, write provision, and conclude in your answer format.

FM & SM:

  • Make summary notes with keywords.

  • Solve questions by understanding the logic—not rote learning.

  • For SM, practice writing strategic answers using structured formats.

General Preparation Tips

  • Stick to ICAI resources: study material, mock tests, revision papers.

  • Write practice answers in ICAI format to boost presentation skills.

  • Focus on conceptual clarity, not just memorization.

  • Plan three rounds of revision:

    1. Once after completing each subject

    2. Before mock tests

    3. Just before the exam

Health & Well-Being Tips

  • Sleep well. Don’t compromise your body’s energy.

  • Eat on time and maintain a balanced diet to stay active.

  • Stay hydrated. Water supports brain function and reduces stress.

  • Take short breaks to improve focus and memory retention.
